Welcome to my page! In this blog I will share with you 5 of the most influential audio books that I have listened to on audible.

If you know me, than you know I love books! Especially the type that make me think a little more deeply about myself and the world. Since becoming a mama I have found little to no time to sit down and read. Then I discovered Audible and let me tell you – if you’re tight on time its a game changer!

I wasn’t sure if I would like listening to books or if I would be able to concentrate, but I have found it to be so relaxing and easy. One of my favourite things to do is take Ayana for a walk whilst I listen to a book. Whilst I still do love sitting down with a hardcopy, audio books are such a great way to learn whilst you are on the move – like heading to work, walking, washing up ect.

I wanted to share with you my 5 favourite Audiobooks so far and give you a short explanation as to why I love each one

  1. Money and the Law of Attraction by Esther Hicks

This is my go-to. I will listen to snippets of this book most days. Chapter 4 and 7 are my personal favs but the entire book changed so much for me. If you are knew to the LOA teachings than it might help you see your life from an entirely new perspective. Admittedly it came to be in an extremely unusaual way – but if the teachings resonate than I don’t believe it matters so much where they came from. I love this book so much and highly recommend.

  2. Daring Greatly by Brene Brown.

I remember listening to this book and being like ‘nooooooo’ not this haha. Brene’s work is all about vulnerability and how it is essential if you want to live authentically and wholeheartedly. Honestly this book was life changing and I would say its one of the most influential in my life so far. I wrote a bit about some of the things I went through whilst reading this book in a previous blog which you can find here. I have recommended this book to so many people who have also found it equally as powerful. It was actually this book that got me really sharing online and I actually started my YouTube channel after reading it! For so long I had stayed small because I worried about what other people would think, but I decided I had to lean into that fear and boy how my life improved tenfold.

  3. You are A Badass by Jen Sincero.

This book takes a lighthearted approach to really important topics. I loved listening to Jen narrate her own book as she shares lots of personal stories that I could really relate to. Her personality is engaging and she had me laughing out loud quite a few times. I feel like this would be a great book to listen to when your driving and just want a more easy to listen (but also very inspiring) book.

  4. Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert.

I love love love how creativity is described in this book. Humans are creative beings, all of us – and its about being aware and acting upon ideas and inspiration that flow from the universe into our lives. Its about being open and ready and moving beyond fear. We are all special and all have something amazing to contribute. This book warmed my heart and really changed my perspective about ideas and my ability to create.

  5. A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson.

I found this book at my parents house and wasn’t going to read it until my Mum encouraged me to. I decided I wanted it on audible as well as the hardcopy because is just that good. Marianne is a student of ‘A Course in Miracles’ and this book is her compilation of the teachings. I am blown away by this piece of work and know it will be a book I return to throughout my entire life. I realised how much I had avoided the topic of ‘god’ and how much it was limiting my own faith. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on relationships, but this entire book left me speechless on so many occasions.

  6. Conversations with God

What I’m currently listening to after being recommended it by a few people. I will update this post with my thoughts and continue to add to this list as I find more inspiring books.
